Nigel's
Youthwork Experience
Nigel has been
involved in youth ministry for over 15 years, with the last
11 [as at 2002] of them being full time staff with YFC.
Initially in the UK [Warrington]
and currently in Australia
[Geelong-Westcoast].
During that time he has been a voluntary youth leader at a
local church and in a council youth club - been responsible
for putting the program together,  training
youth helpers, mentoring youth, calming parents, dealing with
church treasurer's, counseling everyone [or so it seemed at
the time] etc.
Whilst being full
time he has worked in high schools [taking assemblies, lessons,series
of lessons, a school governor, chaplaincy, taken a funeral,
run a memorial service, counseled teachers, young people,
principals - everyone [or so it seemed at the time]]. He worked
in a Young Offenders Institution for quite some time - in
fact he got to know many friends there - some of which he
keeps in contact with after having moved 12,000 miles away.
